Mid-Autumn in New Zealand

"Easter egg hunts are proof that children can find things when they really want."

PinPoint Golf

Elements' host Stuart is an avid golfer and is delighted to share his connection Matt Perry at PinPoint Golf with guests of Elements.  With magical autumn days bringing clear skies and comfortable temperatures, what better time to enjoy a Pinpoint Premium Golfing Experience that was developed to service golfers of all abilities coming to play in New Zealand.

With limited caddying services available throughout the country, international visitors (and even some locals) often find themselves struggling to adapt to the many variables they face while playing in New Zealand.

Pinpoint bridge that gap by drawing on their experience as tour professionals. They provide a first class service that utilises their skills to enhance the enjoyment of the guests’ experience. They apply the same considerations they would make as Tour Pros and simplify it to suit individual client needs.

Enquire with us about a stay at Elements combined with a golfing experience of a lifetime, with access to many of the harder to get to courses being provided by Heletranz helicopters.

Restaurant Recommendation - The Free Range Chef

This month we are focusing on one of our favourite Private Chefs here at Elements of Castor Bay, Chef Stephen Weeks from The Free Range Chef.  We love working with Stephen to bring the creative food element to any event because of his passion for the amazing sustainably sourced produce New Zealand has to offer.

Whether it’s a casual BBQ around the pool, a sophisticated cocktail party or a small private dinner in an intimate setting onsite, the Free Range Chef uses the best ingredients available, while being flexible with clients' requests and competitive on price. They will work with you to design a menu style that will suit any occasion, where they blend sophistication with a touch of contemporary and classic styles to create clean, fresh, uncluttered flavours.

What’s coming up in May

As locals settle back into the new term, holiday destinations get less crowded and often prices can start coming down. It is a great time of year to enjoy some shorter trips, romantic getaways in Auckland or enjoy some of the events we have coming up, such as:

  • Mother’s Day (Sunday, 14th May) – relax with an early morning yoga class, followed by a massage, then a long lunch or a high tea, a walk along the beach or a more adventurous mountain bike trail with the kids.  Speak to us here at Elements about how we can help spoil your mother this Mother’s Day
  • The Royal New Zealand Ballet’s “Romeo & Juliette” (4 May – 10 June)
  • The Auckland Writers Festival, Aotea Centre in Tāmaki Makaurau (16 – 21 May)
  • Four Hands, Two Pianos & One Big Band concert tour – Bruce Mason Centre, Takapuna ( a 6 minute drive from Elements) two acclaimed pianists playing two grand pianos on stage together with the Rodger Fox Big Band. This unprecedented concert performance is the second concert tour marking the 50th Anniversary of the band (Sunday, 28 May 2:30pm)
